You can't. After you win the battle at the mines, Esteban escapes. Later he abducts Isabella and you have to save her in the 'sacrifice' event - if you run the dialog right, she will not die by Estebans sword blow, but "only" become fataly wounded and traumatised and you can treat her. Use save and load for easier playing.
