Did my first missions, now at the first trading post.

Absolutly enjoy this game! Like the graphics, dialogs are great. Off to a great start.

For me the early missions are tricky but fun.

Some thoughts:

- I don´t know, if I should store the loot or sell it. Doesn´t really say, if I can use or need some objects later.
- The mouse is not very responsive. I tried "software" and "operating system". I feel a lag.
- No speed is displayed. Maybe it´s just me, but I like a fictional speed detail.
- When I use M for Map the loading time is long.
- Biggest issue I have is with objects/looting and interactions. You have to be very close to the objects, which isn´t that easy and press F. The hitbox seems very small to me.

Great release so far!!!

This is part of the game, you unlock better distance etc. with perc system! So it gets better, you just have to work for it.
For about an hour I try to accomplish this one mission. "Hunt..." something, second part of a mission. Destroy a base. HOW is this possible?!? There are elite fighters, dozens of drones and if you defeat them, there is not enough time to destroy the base and new enemies arrive. AHHHHH.

Let me continue!!! :-)

EDIT: Scrap!! Attachment didn't work out!! I wanted to point out: JUST DO IT! ;-)

I won't spoil anything about the loot. I am sure you will have more fun figuring this one out on your own.

If you use the OSs mouse, the lag should be minimal. Since the crosshair is rendered by the engine you want to try to get a smooth frame rate. Maybe reducing some graphic settings.

If you toggle to cockpit view using 'v' you'll find a small velocity gauge there =)

The loading time, when opening the map is a know issues we are working on.

No I can´t do it. Used 45 missles plus mines etc.. Shia LaBeouf can´t help me. For a beginning of a game, that´s way to hard.

I would like to present more/better thoughts. I´m stuck. cheers

How's this against Elite Dangerous that game is so big now with the growing solar systems.

Sorry. I obviously misjudged if this was a serious complaint. My bad.
So if you get stuck at some point you just might need to grind a little.
Also: make sure your gear is up to your player level. That might help A LOT!!
If you can't find or purchase gear, you might look into crafting, that always works for me at least.

Totally different type of game really. It's like comparing Tekken to Street Fighter. Both fighting games, totally different style of play.
I'm enjoying it a lot, but there is some severe framerate issues when flying on planets, such as when I went to the Charbydis scrapyard. An fps counter would be great, I wish more games had that as a feature.

There are also some things that could use a tool-tip, such as the passive on some of the gunships, that says it has a pulse laser or coilgun turret. I haven't bought a gunship with that specific passive yet, still on my first one. Does that mean it has a passive turret that functions outside of the ultimate, or does that mean that the turret is a coilgun or pulse laser, thus wasting a passive? If it's the latter, then I would suggest gunships get two passives, one for the turret, and one standard passive.

On to some good: the augment system is great. I love it. Being able to swap my strengths on the fly is fantastic, especially since I've now chosen which three I will focus on. Flying feels good, though I had to rebind the targeting key (I hate middle mouse click, it sucks). Combat was frustrating at first, but now that I have upgraded my ship and found my weapons of choice, I'm starting to get the hang of it. The thermo gun has to be one of my favourites; it's like shooting a swarm of rockets! Very fun. once I got a rail gun, combat became easier as well, as I now start all engagements from afar. It's why guns were invented, after all, to keep yourself away from the enemy. I also like that all weapons have their own seperate pool of energy. That's nice, and makes combat exciting.

Thanks for your feedback. We'll keep on improving UI and performance and reevaluating balancing.
As for the gunship: We got overwhelming feedback and great ideas for the future, so I would expect changes there as well.
We haven't incorporated GOGs Galaxy API yet, but AFAIK there will be one (ctrl+shift+tab) as soon as we integrate the API

Just chiming in without opening a new topic;

I saw your Kickstarter some time ago but was about 3 hours late to support you back then. I found out yesterday Everspace 2 is in Early Acces. I have serious issues with early access. Generally, games in early access are a very pale shadow if what their developers hope to achieve and these tend to drain the joy right out of me. I was still tempted to buy though, as this game strives to be exactly what I want from games. An immersive sandbox experience that doesn't;t try to be a sim.

I've played 12 hours since yesterday (lockdown is a MF) and I've been having a blast. The game needs all sorts of polish, but it feels nice. It's big, it's surprisingly complex, there are lots of things to do and I feel like I'm just scratching the surface, I love that there's "challenge locations", races and bunches of other things to do that give you the chance to just fiddle around and have fun without dumping you into combat every single time.

My biggest gripe, for the time being, are the controls. I'm playing on a controller. The controls feel finicky and I haven't been able to find a setup that really works well. I lose track of enemies, overshoot while tracking, barrel rolls aren't working smoothly and the up/down strafe is too sensitive for slow movement in mines and structures. I tried M&K but that didn't alleviate the finicky feel and it just exchanged some issues for others. I think the development team can make some headway there.

It's a bit hard to get an accurate feel for combat situations. It either feels like I'm killing enemies in 2 seconds or I get overwhelmed and killed really fast. I haven't really had a tense fight where I felt really challenged but was able to come out victoriously. Because the controls are finicky I found myself heading to cover near asteroids and just sniping multiple opponents with my back against the rock. That just feels wrong but as said, I haven't felt like I have the control I need to make dogfights truly enjoyable.

The graphics are awesome and the game runs like a dream on my i7-7700 @ 2.80GHz, 16Gb RAM and GTX 1060. The game looks plenty good and this way it's accessible to many players. Some locations do give stuttering graphics (planet-side mostly) but that's really the only gripe there. The sound is never going to win prizes, but it doesn't detract from the game at all.

Really glad I decided to support you and looking forward to future updates.

HahHah, good question.
This is technical but not really a sim, so I would say Street Fighter. Whereas Elite Dangerous is a Sim and therefore more like Tekken.

Someone asked me how different this is to Everspace 1. That was an easier one to compare - ES1 is Doom, ES2 is Skyrim!
