sigkill9: If you are experiencing problem as I am (only buttons works, no axes) - delete dinput.dll from EAW directory (or change its name). Now EAW is working as expected - at last on my setup (Saitek X45)

I'm so glad I came back to the forum! That worked for me as well!
I've sent them a message, but no reply yet. Was hoping someone here might be able to help. Running a Win 7 Pro Opsys.

Issue is that Joystick, a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro has no throttle and no rudder in GOG EAW. Pitch and Roll OK. Guns fire. Joystick works OK on other games.

Have tried setting "Windows Joystick" from original value of "1" to "0", and joystick loses all function and then game crashed. Set it back to "1".

Have tried deleting "dinput.dll" and joystick lost functionality altogether. Restored the dinput.dll.

In the ini, Flight Control =Joystick, Throttle = Throttle, Rudder = Rudder, and Camera Position = Mouse.

Checked in-game preferences, and the correct choices are made (similar to immediately above).

Any ideas?

Did you ever get a reply to your Joystick question? I've also got a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and having the exact same problems...I cant get the throttle on the joystick or the twist-stick rudder to function. Thanks.

Just in case it might be helpful; same stick, same problem. I needed one additional step, though. Try opening up the control panel with [Windows key]/R and running 'control' (*). Select 'Devices and Printers', then right click on the Logitech Extreme, select Game Controller Settings, then Advanced. Set the Logitech as your preferred device to use with older programs. Come out of there, then do the delete/rename the dinput.dll thing and you should be good to go. Or at least I was.

(*) For fellow Windows clutzes, don't confuse this with 'Settings'. That shows you stick, but for some reason the only thing you can do with it there is remove the device.

I'd forgotten just how much fun this game was, and of course is even more so in 16/9 with silky smooth frame rates.
