Please, explain to me why I would buy a game whose narration reminds me of the whiny voice of Greta Thunberg?

No thank you!
Hi johncalvinhall,

since this specific topic seems to interest some people, we wanted to explain our approach on this one. So, here are the facts:

1. We did not choose the speaker to sound like Greta Thunberg, voice-wise.
2. And no, it is not Greta Thunberg herself speaking in our intro cinematic.
3. We personally directed the voice recordings and deliberately chose the way the voiceover artist presents and conveys the text. We wanted the recording to be as emotional and energetic as possible and therefore asked the speaker to orient herself by a speech held by Greta in terms of emphasis and emotionality. We believe that the urgency of the matter and the necessary emotionality were particularly well expressed in Greta’s speech.

All of us at Assemble Entertainment and Gentlymad Studios are convinced that climate change is a major threat to the planet and all its inhabitants - this conviction is reflected in many areas of Endzone - A World Apart.

Stay safe!

Appears to be the OPs first comment ever. Probably thinks climate change is fake-news based on their animosity towards Greta.

Waste of thread space.
The game intro is very well designed and it worked, I had myself an image of Greta in mind first time I watch it :)
(Never mind the OP opinions, there is a say in my country: "j'parle pa o kons, sa lé éduk" roughly translated by "it's your opinion, man")
How much game is influenced by real political issues? On reviews section, there are few comments, that game has direct political issues...

Hey there,
so far there you have no political decisions in Endzone which you could choose or not. In addition the game is not politically motivated. But the World of Endzone was formed by a nuclear disaster and climate change.

Kind regards

How dare you make such a good intro! That is just brilliant! :) I had to laugh so hard because of the well known speech pattern in context with the game thematics. A really good choice imo.
Ha! I thought the same thing. I hope there will be an option to skip the intro movie.
How to lose a sale.

Hey,
it's really a pity that only the voice of a (little) girl bothers you so much that you don't want to give the game a chance. After all, the intro only plays on the first launch, and not on every subsequent one.
After all, when deciding to buy a game, the game, its features and gameplay should be in the foreground, instead of the voice of a single character that you probably only hear once at all.

In the end, of course, it's your decision, and you're free to make it. :)

Kind regards

Hello,
I was always planing on buying your game, in fact just did. I will say, in a contructive way, the tone came off a bit condescending.

Hey,
Sorry if it sounded condescending, that was not my intention. We're not native speakers, but trying our best.

No, worries. I'm enjoying the game.
