I am having trouble running the Mac version of this game. When I run the game, the screen turns black and nothing else happens. I am on OS X 10.9.5

Unfortunately I cannot help you, except to say that I'm on OSX 10.9.5 as well, and the game runs fine for me. So it's not a universal issue.

Christ, I'm on PC, and getting a freeze up, thought it was my GPU's fault, but your post disproved that...Unless you have a Sapphire r9 290x...
