I've been a fan of EE for many years, created all kinds of maps and have had war raging all across all the maps. Naturally when GOG added EE to the list I couldn't resist. Even after the fear that the game may not run on my windows10, the game worked flawlessly, even AOC... Of course three or four games played and the maps became boring as is the usual rhetoric with me and this game. So I went to work and created this 13 series story map of Earths History, the map continues to evolved as you moved on the the next world... Routes your soldiers walked in the roman times leads to roads during the crusader times and so on so forth... Its a planet map with oceans and continents... After building this story, testing over and over again (There isn't any triggers in any map) it was finally finished for me to play... 2 hours into map one the game unexpectedly closes, I do the normal steps of admin permission, test other compatibility such and such... But in a hour and half playing, poof, desktop. Okay? So I tested through another map, same thing but sooner... The WWII map, which begins with plenty of carnage (No over pop) sometimes makes it an hour, sometimes three... Always resulting in the same way, unexpected close, no error msgs, no super lag, just straight to desktop... I have tried every solution to crashes and freezing with absolutely no ad-vial. Thinking maybe its because some ships make it to where the ocean meets space, so i went about correcting all the seams only to play, wait an hour, poof... I thought maybe the map was corrupted from the start and i carried it over and over, but map 6 and map 10 work fine... Most will load through the scenario button on single player screen but 7 will not... Is their something I missing? So I started saving every chance I get, until it boots me, then reload that save only for it to boot me again at exactly the same spot... Turned everyone to enemies put all the tech back in place... No dice... Next step is to move the files to a old computer in some boneyard somewhere, because I've built much more intense maps, which I've brought over from every hard drive since I was a kid... Like I said, game works perfectly with no setting changes, my maps only last 1-3 hours... Any ideas?

I'm having the EXACT same problem. It's as if there's a timer in the game that causes it to crash at the same time every time.
Were you able to find a solution?
Thanks.
