Hey everyone,
I realize that there are lots of threads here in the forums about Empire Earth's issues with Windows 8/8.1, but I tried every suggestion I found and I'm still unable to make the game run properly.
I can launch both EE and EE: AOC, but after a few seconds the game just freezes and only the menu music keeps playing. The cursor doesn't responds and I have to close the game using the task manager. Following some suggestions I found online, I tried changing "3D Acceleration" to "Direct3D Hardware TnL", I tried installing the NeoEE patch and I tried disabling VSync on the registry, but the problem persists. I also read that I should set the compatibility mode to Windows 98, but the compatibility mode option is greyed out and set to Windows XP SP2. (Lots of games that I bought on GOG also have this option greyed out)
I'm running Windows 8.1 and I use a Nvidia GTX 750 video card.
Is there anything else I could try to fix it? If someone could help me I would be really thankful.
