An assortment of problems make Empire Earth completely unplayable in my Vaio T13.

The game will usually hang either while selecting campaigns, or while entering the options. Not only does it hang, but it won't let me reach the task manager in order to shut it off safely, so I'm forced to restart every time. In the rare circumstances that the game runs, it does so with glitchy textures which disappear, morph and change at every second, making the game completely joyless. The compatibility guide includes the IGP of my computer (HD4000) in the compatibilty with hardware T&L support.

Here's a piece of the DxDiag:

Is there any fix in sight? I've read of similar blights from other users, but I have no convincing answer. I'm ready to provide any additional diagnostics information that may help. Thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue with EE1 Gold.

It worked perfectly on my old laptop. I recently got a new laptop and it is doing something similar to what you are describing.

I've tried to change the video settings, I've tried to switch compatibility modes, I've tried re-installing it in both windows 7 and the xp mode / virtual pc and nothing works.

Whenever I attempt to change the video settings in the game, it crashes and gives me this error report:

This was happening to me. I was running it on windows 8 and the game was glitchy and would freeze. You're graphics drivers are probably to new to play the game effectively. Download an older version of the drivers (I had 10.18 and switched to 9.17) the game should work perfectly after you do this and it isn't to hard to do.
