So I bought the game less than a week ago, but whenever I play it I can click on settings but not singleplayer.
More accurately, the singleplayer menu freezes but allows one "selection" as in the button select sound plays but that's it.
Now, fixing this is annoying because I can't use the task manager to close it as it does not allow me to get to it. Rather, I have to manually shut down my laptop by holding the power button down.
I have tried running in XP compatability, running as administrator, and installing some multiplayer patch that I thought someone mentioned. I contacted GOG but they haven't responded yet and I'm not optimistic about it (I'm a new user with bad experiences with Steam's support). I haven't seen this specific problem on the forums (or at least from what I've looked at) so I need some help.
