I have some questions:

1. What does fire attack fire, ice, % do on a weapon? Does it add that % of your base attack as elemental damage? Or does it convert your weapon so that the base damage is 20% fire, for example? How does this affect enemy resists?

2. How do resists work - just reduce the damage, or a % chance to avoid it altogether? If a mage casts a fire spell at you, what resists are used if you have both mage and fire resist?

3. Does 100% recovery rate mean that you recover instantly from all status ailments?

4. Does time pass if you don't move in the dungeon?

Thanks.

Rob

It does not affect your normal attack. Instead, it applies to spell damage (with no limit as far as I know) and to breath damage (to a maximum of about 200 points). Holy attack % will affect healing as well (including healing from potions), but note that this is applied before the Hand of Kindness 20% minimum, and it does not affect Feireed or Full-Recovery Potions (so no turning a 100% heal into, say, a 200% heal). These bonuses stack multiplicitively with high mastery skills.

Spell resistance (Mage, Cleric, Alchemy) is a chance to negate the spell in the first place. If you resist a spell this way, it does not affect you at all. Note that Magic Essence will cause spells to ignore Mage (only) spell resistance.
Attribute resistance will reduce the damage received. It affects breath attacks as well as spells. 100% resistance will nullify attacks, 200% will absorb it (turning it into healing), and 300% will reflect it. (I haven't tested in-between values.) 100% or more Dark resistance will block instant death spells (but not Death breath or Beheading.) Note that Beheading resistance also protects against death spells, but is harder to raise.

rayres2007: 3. Does 100% recovery rate mean that you recover instantly from all status ailments?
Not quite. It will never allow recovery from Poison, Dead or Ash, and unless you have the enemy only skill Restore, will not allow recovery from Paralyze or Stone.

I haven't actually tested that, but I know that the "day passes" messages can only appear after you move.

The main difference between the pluses on materials is the range of AP the material can have. No plus goes up to 20, +1 up to 35, and +2 up to 50.
