I am trying to finish quest 6 - demon with a treasure and quest 7 - treasures of underwater.

I explored all of floor 2 except going underwater. I backed up my save and tried it but died. Is the "secret" level of the Grotto accessed through here? If I use the dove item, I assume it doesn't remove "special" encounters.

Where is the "cave" that the quest guide mentions? I saw a monster go through a hole on floor 2, x5y15.

How many air seeds will I need? I will have 15 min. of air. Once I go through the water, will I have to go back through it again, In which case Diomente will be handy? Maybe I should try the Great Tree quests and come back later.

I didn't even bother with the underwater area until after reaching the second postgame, at which point I could just autobattle every encounter.

It helps if you change the settings to speed things up (fastest battle speed, all animations off).

Diomente is quite useful, as the timer resets when you warp in and out of the water floor.

The secret area is accessed through the underwater area. It has a cleric family monster that would make a decent Spirit Pact character except that, like other cleric family monsters, its summon resistance is far higher than it should be. (I really think many monsters should have had lower summon resistance; it would allow the player more interesting choices.)

I have one other question. Is the tablet for the dungeon found in the underwater level, as it is the last floor of the dungeon?

It is found in the secret area, which is not underwater, and is treated as its own floor. (You do have to go through the underwater area, however.)
