So I have arachnophobia and I am thinking of buying Oblivion, since I stopped Skyrim after just not having it with my phobia, I really wanted to try out Oblivion but I am thinking whether this one has any Spiders which make my experience somewhat worse.

I would advise you not to play Arena, as it has too many spiders in it. I find the game fun (to a point), but it sounds like you would have a problem with the spiders in it.

(Incidentally, I seem to remember Skyrim getting a no spiders mod. I also remember Legend of Grimrock, right when it was released (and before the modding tools were released) getting a mod that replaces the spiders with another enemy.)

With Skyrim, what bothered me the most because there is a Spider boss at some main quest dungeon which always used to scare me and make me think that the mod was not able to replace the Spider boss and then I never bothered with it.
If I only knew that it would replace it and such and be totally sure of it then I would play Skyrim again but for now I am just being careful with my phobia.
