I wouldn't mind getting the game but not if the performance is as bad as some suggest on the reviews. If it hasn't been improved any chance of it happening in the future?

Seems to me that everybody has different experiences. I got the game and it really doesn't run so bad. It may not be the smoothest of all, but that's also due to the quirky animations and clunky controls. It also seems capped to 30 fps and you get some fps drops occasionally but perhaps you can change that in the DOSBox config.

I also depends on the 3dfx wrapper. GOG's one might not be the best for the game but you can always try others like:

That one I use and I wouldn't say the game is unplayable. Not the smoothest, but not unplayable. IF... you can make do with clunky controls etc.
