Anyone ever got MT-32 emulation such as MUNT to work with Daggerfall on DOSBox?

For me the game just flat out crashes when loading a saved game while the MT-32 is setup to be used, giving the error 117,

i'm using MUNT with MT-32 ROMs and DOSBox appears to be configged correctly as Ultima 7 works excellent as do other games

Any ideas?

Wasn't the soundtrack composed for General midi though?

At the moment I'm using OmniMIDI for General MIDI with the arachno soundfont.
