Skyrim SE CTDs soon as I click on new game and the shout audio plays on a fresh install in W10.

Tried all the suggested fix I could find, updated everything, and tried all the methods installing the game and still it refuses to work.
Even tried installing the unofficial patch in hopes of fix but did not work.

I can't seem to find anyone else complaining about this issue so I guess it might just be me but does anyone have any ideas? Every other game works fine.

.. looking into my magic crystal ball ... unofficial patch? ... ah! - it tells me that your Morrowind installation is crashing! ... or is it Oblivion? ...
I give up!

Ah my bad forgot this forum combined all the elder scroll series, it's for Skyrim SE
You should provide more information about your system (hardware, OS, etc.) in order to get help.
You should also state what fixes you tried in order to help others helping you.

That said, do you get any crash report?
Does the crash occur to a fresh install, without any mod installed?
Do you use Galaxy? Have you tried launching the game without Galaxy running?
Please, read this article, if you haven't already: it might be helpful.
I am having the exact same problem!

I just bought the game (wanna play it for the first time) does anyone have a fix for this?

I found it weird that my preferences weren't saving so I tried running it in a sandbox and it worked flawlessly. Copy pasted preferences from sandbox into live folder and finally it launched however I could not save, only quicksave.

I had to disable ransomware protection or something like that for "My Documents" folder.

Never had a problem like this, guess it's a W10 thing

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Just asking did you install your game in "C:\Program Files (x86)" ? Because it can lead to not saving properly.
great "solution"
I just fixed mine!

1. Download GOG Galaxy and import the skyrim folder
2. Run the Verify option next to the play button
3. Wait for hours and hours (and i mean HOURS Galaxy is very slow)
4. When its done Skyrim is fixed!
