Maybe if GoG.com could actually include the real .exe file of the game, now that might be something.

Thanks to the mod of New Horizons, now the game actually launches.

This game has a long way to go in order to be really playable. Plus, no decent graphics either.

There is no way to see how the kingdom earns its monies. And, there are no sprites to both the hero and the troops.

Moreover, how in hell did the dead rise from the graves into my own holy town?

This is like playing a late 1980's type of strategy game that resembles a lot of the old RPG based Might and Magic games.

All of these years of development and, that is all that you guys came up with?! I am so not impressed, not funny at all.

I like how your basic troops have to wait till lvl 17 to be upgraded now. Some of the new hero pictures are pretty cool. Still playing New Horizons after all these years. One of the best games of all time.

We must not be playing the same game Opprime. If you can't even see the kingdom overview button, that shows what your kingdom makes and how much your kingdom spends on troops and corruption, I think you have spent about 5 mins with the game.

This is a great mod and definitely adds huge life and replay value to what was already a great game! I totally appreciate the hard work and would happily contribute some $$$ if there was a place to do it.

However, I'm starting to run into a bug that I've seen a handful of others complain about with the newest version. Enemies seem to level up unbelievably quickly. Even playing at Competent (2nd level from the bottom), on Turn 10, I was attacked by an enemy Hero who was L5 with 5 PIkemen.

Gaining a Level every 2 turns, starting on Turn 1, is kinda off the charts impossible, I think. Battles just don't give you that much XP, at least, not if you're a human player.

I LOVE this game, and would rank it in my all time Top 3! But the enemy on steroids thing kinda ruins it for me, I'm afraid.

Please keep patching this mod, but if there's any way to fix the enemy development bug, that'd be awesome.

My only real quibble with the mod is why has ranged tactics lost the +1 range at level 5. And why is my commander Jim Carrey in goofy mode? Or Ben Stiller or Milla Jovovich or Orlando Bloom. It's not very immersive.

If you wanted to get rid of the hero pics you don't like it would have to be done by extracting and replacing portraits in Portraits.dat and PortraitsWomen.dat in eador/dat. This thread recommends grabber:

Edit: I also got the fire wand bug.

I knew of that trick but it should be done at every update... It's a bad idea I think and they should put back the original pics for heroes that are perfect. Otherwise the mod is getting better and better. I updated the bugs list.

talking about bugs, i don't know if this happening only with me, the case is... when i do a next turn, i need to wait 20-30 seconds, but this happen when have 3 or more opponents.
Someone can help?, please

Large maps might lengthen turn times but 20-30 seconds does sound excessive. Could it be a shortage of ram or lack of processing power? Sometimes older games do strange things on newer OS too.
