Hello everybody

I want to make a french translation of eador, and i would know how i could make that... does I have to only modify the . var files? should i keep the same number of letters to fit to windows sizes? or is it more complicated... If you can help me.

This is just an "amateur" translation, because i want to make this game known to friends, but they don't speak or read english (annoying for eador), and i just want to translate firstly the skirmish part of it (to not spoil myself with campaign, i did not finished it). I'm working slowly on it (when I'll have the informations I ask), and it's not intended to be released, just "amateur" as I said. if one day it's good enough, I could think about it, but for now it's just a project to make the game accessible to frenchies friends (whom, like almost all frenchies, don't want to learn english... :( )

Thanks for your answers.
You would need to translate text folder too, contains all descriptions.
About amount of letters... guess it isn't that important - initially the game was in the Russian language, which tends to have longer words than English (but shorter sentences overall, so English version have some misfits here and there).
Ok thanks, I've started it already. not so difficult in fact, just a loooong job. and as I understood, the files in the text folder contains all descriptionns (as you say), and the .var files contains more "mechanical" things about the game (like mouse roll-overs and things like it.

P.S: si il y a des francophones que ça interesse, ce sera pas pret tout de suite, mais j'y travaille, je pourrai faire tourner (par contre pas d'accents du tout, normal)
