I've had reproducable crashes (exit to desktop) from picking up these three notes :

School, left side of the main room upon entering
School, small room on the right of the entrance

Cafe (mission to retrieve journalist gear and research) on table.

As a result I'm no longer pickup up notes. It wastes my time, unfortunately.
