I finished the game and want to start the next one however Strahd level drain one of my party members to 6. I try multiply time to finish the game without having his level drop. Is there any trick to preventing him from level draining a party member? Will moving him to the back row help?

Well Negative Plane Protection buff partially protects from level draining attacks, however, final battle with Strahd was ranged as far as I remember, so if you keep your distance between your party and him and just keep frying him with the Amulet, he should not be able to drain any levels from you...

What honDziq said, use Negative Plane Protection, although keep in mind that a draining hit immediately cancels the spell, so you'd need to recast it. I generally don't bother.

You could also try "Stepping Mode", because you'll be able to move a lot faster and can more easily dodge him.
You can click the compass to change to Stepping Mode and back.

To quickly kill Strahd, be sure to pass the amulet to all your characters, so you don't have to wait for cooldowns.
Keep it in your mouse cursor, double right-click on a character's hand, click the amulet, click Strahd, double right-click the amulet, and do the same for the next character.
