when i played the demo of this the "Hero's" had voices in the cut-scenes, whereas this one has subtitles instead. anyone know how to "turn on" the voices?

thanks in advance for any and all help

EDIT: i have just discovered that the Narrator speaks in the cut-scenes and while he does have the subtitles (as do the "hero's") he is still the only one who's voice i can hear. Note that this applies for both campaigns.

Have you checked the game's sound settings to be sure that the voice volume is not turned down too far or muted? Have you tried enabling or disabling EAX? What do you have for sound hardware and speakers?
as i said, i can hear the Narrator, just not anyone else. i have an on-board sound-card and am using a headset, EAX makes no difference either on or off and the "voice" volume is up at max. also i don't hear voices in the missions though I'm not sure weather that is normal or not.
found the problem, i am using a headset, but my system was outputting to a 5.1 surround sound system. the voices where playing on speakers that are turned off, the fix was to change the output to duel speakers.
I was actually going to suggest that, but you beat me to it. I was messing with my settings to see if I could replicate your problem and the thing that seemed closest to what you described was setting my speakers to surround or 5.1 while using headphones.
I was going to say check your audio options and see if it is outputting to surround or higher but since you found that and are using a headset change it to headphones so you get the best sound qaulity instead of setting it to 2.0/2.1 becuase that is set for speakers that are far apart and not close lijke a headset is set up.
