I was doing some research for the game (reviews, specs, videos etc...) and noticed that the game originally came with a multi-player component.

However, GOG shows it as having just single player.

Was MP taken out for the GOG version?
It seems that LAN multiplayer works. But online might be closed, since it runs with Gamespy. I haven't checked though.

Edit: Just tried, and it seems that you can login to Gamespy. There were no games online however, so I couldn't see if it really worked.

Sweet! I'm guessing/curious it will work online via Hamachi or GameRanger. In any event, off to buy it and see!
Awesome! Let us know how multiplayer is, if you get to try it. :)

I will. I just figured out how to get the resolution set up for widescreen in the 'widescreen' thread. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is worth it. Just be careful!

Okay, LAN play definitely works for 2 - Don't know how to play the game yet, but I know that much at least! I did not try the Gamespy thingy. Someone else can test that.

It also looks like you can add bots to the mix for some co-op skirmish, but I didn't try it. This was just a test.

GameSpy will kick you off with the statement of cd key invalid or already in use when you either try to create/join a game. bs drm free...
I requested a multiplayer serial key from GOG and it solved the problem.
Dragonshard does in fact works with GameRanger, too bad no one is playing the game in there :(
and besides a there lot of low life scums in there who like picking people and insulting people who ask questions about dragonshard, saying that this game sucks and so on... Well they don't know any better at all...

Anyways can someone play Drangonshard with me in GameRanger please?

I'd be willing to play a few rounds, if you'd like to suggest a time.

My time zone is GMT -8, and if you're in the Philippines that would make you GMT +8. That puts an 8-hour difference between us, so unless our schedules match up perfectly it'd probably be best to pick a time over the weekend. Any reasonable hour works for me.

Oh Hello there! didn't expect someone would go around by here hehehe :)

Anyways... I'm not really familiar with time differentials on varying time zones but I'm free within 9:30 PM to 12:00 AM around any day here...

Add 8 hours to your time to get my time.

So 9:30 PM - 12:00 AM your time is 5:30 AM - 8:00 AM by my time. That's not a very good time for me.
