Hey guys! A quick question - the Steam version of the Dungeon Siege trilogy is riddled with bugs and errors, crashed all the time, and has no end credits after defeating the final boss. I get community posts almost daily about people on Steam looking for a patch to fix the problems. Does the GOG version have these same problems, or are they "fixed"? I am running Windows 10 (64-bit) with 16 bit of memory.

Exactly the same. I own on both platforms to test it for myself, since it was so cheaply available on sales. Same issues, same bugs, same complaints, even same problem with trainers and cheats no longer working, and when they do, with the same limitations.

Edit: Also, important to mention, they also both have nearly identical workarounds to get the expansions added that were not included in either trilogy release.

Just a follow up, GOG versions are more likely to work just by installing them, but it's not guaranteed.

I have DS1 and DS2 set to run in windowed mode, but I had to look up a guide to do it, because on both versions when I first bought them, the cursor was locked in place.

When I last reinstalled DS2 recently, it no longer needs to be run in windowed mode to work, so idk if it got patched at some point or they streamlined the compatibility fixes.

tldr; the days of gog patching older games to "just work" are sort of over. They try, but not like they did when they specialized in old games.
