I googled for a map mod that increases the viewable area you can see on the overhead map. I found one that gets rid of the large brown border. That is fine but the mod also removes the shroud which I do not want. I can not find another mod that does what I want. Anyone know of one?

This is a copy of another post I replied to earlier. I thought I'd add the texture mod info just in case.

From the post:

So I did a little digging and I found a texture mod and a seefar mod at the moddb site for DS1.

Texture mod:
- improves most of the texture in the game so areas, objects, etc. look clearer and sharper.
- on the DS1 site page, I think you can find the mod under the "files" tab

Seefar2020 mod:
- this mod lets you adjust the camera distance and a few other adjustments
- if I recall correctly, there will be a few file versions in the zip file; read the readme file and choose one
- the fog of war should still hide unexplored areas; the readme file will indicate if one version has no fog of war
- on the DS1 site page, I think you can find the mod under the "add-ons" tab
I am actually using several components of See Far now including SeeFar100, increased font size, and Time of Day Always Day.

The SeeFar100 one does pull the automap out some more without messing with the shroud which is nice.

Thank you!

Glad to hear that. DS1 and DS2 are so much more fun w/ mods these days. :)
