Think of it this way, we're likely to get the win version etc for free if we already own DK.
Cause it would be like a remastered thing wouldn't it.

blueskirt42: Please, do not let the fact that GOG is missing Deeper Dungeons prevent you from buying this little gem.
Thank you for you post, it was exactly the kind of thing I needed to know before deciding whether to get the GOG DK :).

Sylenall: Damage control?

In any case I'm interested in the series, but I'm not putting money down on old games unless they are the complete editions of old games.

There is no reason we wouldn't want the expansion to go along with the game, and I don't understand why your trying to downplay it.
I have to agree. I actually still have my disc of the original and deeper dungeons. I'd buy it if it was complete for ease purposes but it's not :(.
GOG community strikes again! Check out this post which tells you have to get Deeper Dungeons running with the GOG.com version of the game.

And while you're at it, check out this post which details how to run the game in high res.

Its 5 bucks... Even without deeper dungeons, the game is wonderfull and has atleast 50+ hours of game play, if not more.

the guy is right, deeper dungeons wasnt all that... it was just some stand alone missions.
I think with Deeper Dungeons it was better because you get more maps to play and skirmish play
Well I see no reason why gog shouldn't try to get Deeper Dungeons as well as it's an expansion to the original campaign so we don't have to jump through hoops to get it working and running on newer systems.
I personally loved Deeper Dungeons levels even though I stumbled upon them just last year while I was replaying the original campaign. Loved the original campaign as well, but we all know it was really easy peasy to get through except for the last four realms that were harder (Who said being a keeper is always easy right? And it's no fun to just wall yourself in and build forces, sitting in your little dungeon with a gem block.).
Deeper Dungeons pretty much expanded upon those last four realms so if you want to finish those you have to plan efficiently while struggling with hard conditions like micromanaging your imps and other minions, kill incoming heroes, or having to defeat the enemy keeper(s).
it was more interesting because the levels were very challenging, the original campaign just didn't have the same level of difficulty, because of cheap things like transfer creatures.

Gwai: Knowing the way gog.com treats their users you should know better, that if they will ever release expansion such as Deeper Dungeons they will simply add it for free to the game.
