Just purchased Duke Nukem and I'm getting tearing on my monitor (something I deeply hate). I've looked around and from what I've read DOS Box supports V sync. I added the following to the DOS Box config file (code was from another DOS Box config file) in the program files to Duke Nukem:

[vsync]
# vsyncmode -- Synchronize vsync timing to the host display. Requires calibration within dosbox.
# Supported are off,on,force.
# vsyncrate -- Vsync rate used if vsync is enabled.

vsyncmode=on
vsyncrate=60

On launching the game I was still getting tearing. I've tried changing the renderer via the GOG Graphic Mode Setup to OpenGL and Direct 3D but I am still getting tearing.

Can anyone out there help?

Using eDuke32 instead of DOSBox will most likely solve any issues you have and make the experience tons better.
Thanks. That works pretty well and the game is now nice and v synced. Still hoping I can somehow get the original to v sync as the motion in EDuke32 feels off compared to the original :(

There's a way to get eDuke identical to that of the DOS version, but I'm unsure as to the settings.
Think I have it sorted out now. The auto run was turned on without me knowing it. When I turned it off the game felt just like the original version :)

Thanks for your help xx
