Hey

I just bought Duke3D from here and found out that EDuke32 seems to be the best thing to run the game with.

However whenever I go to run the game from EDuke32, I get a message telling me "Duke Nukem 3D game data was not found. A valid copy of 'duke3d.grp' or other compatible data is needed to run EDuke32." and tells me to buy the game from here.

Is there a specific place I need to put EDuke 32? Any help would be appreciated :)

You need duke3d.grp to be in the same directory you are running eDuke32 from. The easiest way to do this is to simply put eDuke32 into the same folder you installed Duke Nukem 3D to.

Should work fine once you've done that.

Exactly what I did after making this post. Apparently my brain only decides to work after asking for help :P

Thanks anyway!

No problem. By the way, when I played using eDuke32, I got a notice about an eDuke32 update when I was halfway done playing the game. But, updating eDuke32 meant it no longer recognized my savegames. Fortunately, I still had the old eDuke32 installer lying around so I downgraded again to get the savegames working. So just a warning... you should probably play through the whole game with a single version of eDuke32.
