Hi all,

I just upgraded my gpu from a 1660 to an rx 6600xt. I don't remember this game having any issues, frame wise, before the upgrade, but now I'm noticing that there are significant drops (to below 60) in larger outdoor areas and inside the larger city in certain places.

I'm curious is this a game issue or a me issue? Thanks for reading this.

My system
Ryzen 2600x
16 gigs of ram at 3000mhz
Rx 6600xt

Thanks

Obviously if it worked OK before the problem is on your end.
I have read about similar cases. Like ppl upgrading to a more powerful GPU and having low performance.

I still cant figure out what the man meant by game ready cause I don't use nVidia.'

Anyway, the problem was solved by using different driver package, so maybe try this.
If this won't help: I hear that the very small percent of ppl have similar issue when playing online, so see if playing offline helps.

Additionally.
The game is very CPU heavy. So I wonder if having too small virtual memory may cause some issues. Make sure your pagefile.sys has few GB at its disposal.

Hey thanks for the reply. I tried dropping in my old 1660 to see what was up and it worked great. The game didn't drop below 80 with it in.

I tried everything (without luck) except for your pagefile.sys recommendation. I apologize for my ignorance, but how would I make sure it has the required GBs?

Just to double check did you mean play the game in offline mode, or totally disconnect from the internet?

Thanks again

1. Ppl online advise making the pagefile.sys double the size of your RAM.
2. Unlike Steam version GOG one doesn't require an account set to online to be online (it doesn't need an acconut at all duh), and I'm not sure if setting the game iteslf to offline will work, so...
try both I guess.

Oh, and one more thing.
You may want to check if your system's power plan is set to max performance.

Same here, upgraded today from an nvidia to an AMD Card and my fps dropped from constand 144 to 40-45fps. Put my nvidia card back in and everything went back to normal. Guess AMD suckes for this game :-(
