Hi,

I have played Dorfromantik when it was still in early access, now upon full release I reinstalled the 1.0.5 version, but I can't get past the personal data disclaimer screen ... no matter what I click (either "accept" or "decline"), nothing happens!
What's wrong?

Thanks for your response.
Tom
Hey there,
that does sound weird.

If possible, could you send us a bug report as outlined in this Steam Guide so we can take a look?
(I know Steam's not everyone's favourite on here, but its easier linking that than rewriting the whole thing, please forgive this CM's transgression!)
Hello,

thanks for your swift response.
I bought the game here on GOG, not via Steam.

But somehow, I tried to uninstall and reinstall again and now the problem has miraculously disappeared and the game now works.

So I guess you might consider this solved.
Thanks again for your kind efforts.

Have a nice day.

General (very general) advises, i guess one of this is solve you when you reinstall again:

- Using GOG Galaxy - always do verify game files right after downlaoding it. At least twice in a row. Just like for any else gaming or downlaodoing (p2p) clients. GOG Galaxy not report anymotr about result and always redownalod something. It moe important do this at least twice in a row.
Reinstalling in nowadays not helping but do it worse. Verify is mandatory.

- For offline build just reinstall. Maybe that enough.

- Installator, GOG Galaxy and games itself should be started by RMB - run as admin. Even if UAC is disabled (better not to do this, cause it automatically switch to Windows VirtualStore, and NOTGIVE apps admin privilages).
If you always start games from some clinet (GOG Galaxy, Steam or maybe some else if they allow to add any 3rd party game as just lnk) - set run-as-admin only on galaxy.exe (steam.exe etc). If you start game also directly by it exe\lnk - set admin also on each that games exe's.

Every actions for games\gaming clients should be done from exe started as admin - installation, downlaoding, validating. game launching.

Verify, reinstall - it also need to remvoe old config files. Better (sometimes needed) the whole user folder, even with saves.
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Toukana Interactive\

Though this time this game here have a patch from pre-latest to latest builds and its maybe perfectly work, probably better redownload and reinstall whole new installer. Just as part of reinstalllation process.
Do not uncheck validating onstallation data files option, and check digital signature on exe before started it. just to make sure it dowanldoed correctly.

Hey Tom,

great to hear things ended up working out somehow!
I'm aware we're on GOG, and not Steam - the reports do not go through Steam though - We just have a ready-made Guide outlining how to send us Bug Reports with included log files. The steps do not differ between ecosystems and the readability of the guide is better than what we could accomplish on these forums, hence me linking that.

We'll put this issue on our "Post launch things to look at" list regardless, to see if we ended up breaking something in our GOG build pipeline somehow :)
