Hi, i'm using GZDoom and ZDL to play and install mods. (i'm basically a noob at this stuff).
after a long time, i've managed to play doom using the mouse to look around and don't use auto aim, but I can't find an option to show how much health, armor, bullets I have. the game is basically playing like this: http://imgur.com/a/tksDE

with heretic, that i'm also using GZDoom and |ZDL, the same stuff happens. is there an easy way to adjust controls, hud options in either of these programs, or do I need to search for them in the vast amount of options?

PS: the mod i'm using is supposed to look like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHBvZeADFlo&t=10s for doom
for heretic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-U8KaAuDypo&list=PLaO0SE1JEX5v06C0-l2aLTaU2QfIbxgnV&index=1

thanks.
The game's screen size block (not the resolution you're running the game in) might be at max and is hiding the HUD because of that. By default, try pressing the "-" key to bring the screen size down until you can see the HUD appear; going by the screenshot, you should be able to see it after pressing the "-" once.
That doesn't sound like a fun way to play! In GZDoom, you should be able to access all the settings you need by just pressing Escape in the game and clicking on "Options". There you can find "Customize Controls" to change these. As for the HUD, it seems like your "screen size" is set to hide the HUD. This can either be changed in "Options" -> "Display options" -> "Screen size" or by simply pressing the + and - (or ? and ´) keys on the keyboard. This way you can cycle through different sizes of the HUD and sizes of the screen.

I hope this works out for you, have fun!
thanks everyone! it worked!
