In the Doom 1 + Doom 2 downloads, all I see is the .9 GB installer. I have not installed yet (changing PCs). Since they removed older versions from the store, did those older goodies make it into the new installer? Or do new purchasers no longer get those goodies?

The Ultimate Doom:
Ultimate DOOM manual
DOOM Bible

Final Doom:
Final DOOM manual

DOOM II + Master Levels:
DOOM II manual

I just realized that the old versions of Doom 1&2 were removed from my library and with them all the goodies they came with before later those version with the goodies got removed years ago.

I had the impression that old versions once they were bought stay in my library as this is in most cases the way on Steam even there were some exceptions (e.g. the old Mafia games).
It seems like this is the first time that I see this on GOG that a legally purchased and owned version was nuked out of my library.
To be fair, I saw such rare deletion at Steam done by very large corporations like 2K. Now it seems like Bethesda joined this nasty attitude and in this case it was not even about expired licenses of music or other IPs in those games.

I would like to know what happened to those old Doom versions with the goodies and WHY they were deleted. I think we deserve at least an explanation and who's responsible for that decision, was it id or Bethesda?
I find this unacceptable but I guess as usual we have no choice when the big corp CEOs decide to nuke properly purchased licenses out of my game library.
The only option I see left is to boycott permanently future game purchases from the few involved corporations.

Are you sure that it is not a temporary bug? Everything is still there in my library – like other people reported – and you are the only the second person mentioning missing original version. The first person was confused about the names, i.e. The Ultimate Doom instead of Doom (1993).

Hmmm, that's possible. I am quite tired after having along night behind me. After your reply I checked once more and maybe I confused the old vs new version with the old Fallout 1 and 2 games which I have as classic versions in my library with all the original extras which later got removed and those games are since then just offered with the manual.

I see in my library
- The Ultimate Doom
- Doom II + Master Levels
- Doom 1 Enhanced
- Doom II Enhanced

So the first two items are the originals and the enhanced ones the later versions plus the brand new 'Doom + Doom II' release. The only extras I see in the two originals are the manuals and a Doom bible for the Ultimate version.

I guess in my tired brain I had a memory crossover with the two classic Fallout versions and confused their more substantial goodie collection (which had HD wallpapers, Fallout Bible, soundtrack. avatars and artworks) with those from the two classic Doom games. This must be it. Until you can mention any other goodies from the original Doom versions besides the manuals and the bible just for the Ultimate version.

If you can confirm this then I can mark my original post as mistake from my side.

Herzlichen Dank fuer die schnelle Antwort. Aber jetzt muss ich wirklich ins Bett bevor mein Gesicht 'nen Abdruck von dem Keyboard bekommt. :)

Yes, the first two are the DOS versions and the other ones are the Unity versions by Nerve. That's everything except the new DOOM + DOOM II entry.

Edit: Forgot Final Doom, you should have that as a separate library entry.

I forgot to mention 'Final Doom' as it was not part of the initial confusion. But yeah, I got that as extra entry as well in my library. Thanks again for the clarification.
Guude and be well.
Bethesda and GOG in general not thef irst time do nuke something. While games as far as i know only once removed - and should be restored (or contact support for it) - was Bethesdas Spear of Destiny. Usually there is no nukes on GOG or consider errors-bugs.
But not for goodies. There is cases goodies nuked even without any remakes or re--editions. Not sure which one but Lego-*something* got goodies removed, TES2 Daggerfall Unity remake pdf file.

There was more nukes on Steam incl games. Although there was no such issues for Spear of Destiny as been on GOG, Bethesda initially keep old appID available.
There is more nukes of additional pdf files happened on Steam in general. PC-Win replaced to PC-Mac, or offline pdf replaced to online-based pdf (which just hyper-link in document). Or entirely removed Manual/Reference strings from its CDR DB.

Its not like there is someone to care about our libraries.

But. Isn't Bethesda and GOG just failed their package-s once again? Looks like they themselves not really understand how their packages work, allowing easily split old and new buyers by new app ids - which Bethesda+GOG do use.
And at this moment old buyers issues should be solved, legacy package IDs entries should restored, new package ID added (there was reports of both missing cases one or another).
And as for legacy packages, old files still there.
