It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I already own DKS on steam and it has a version number of 1.4.9.70. I then install DC from GOG, and the version number is 1.4.700.38, which to me seems like a LOWER version number than whats on steam. It seems as if they took an old version of DKS and slapped on the developer's console. Anyone know for certain whether or not they did indeed do this, because I'd rather not use an older (and likely buggier) version of a game.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, load up the game and look at the lower right land corner after booting.

[edit] I made a thread on Steam's forums as well. That thread may be found here.

It's a strange world you live in when 9 is greater than 700.

Indeed 700>9, but given those zeros it seems to be as though they are using a different numbering scheme.

[edit] In any case I'm just looking for some sort of confirmation.

[edit2] Raze on Steam's forums provided confirmation:
The original European English retail release was 1.4.9.32, a hotfix brought that to 1.4.9.43, the first patch was 1.4.9.65 and the second patch 1.4.9.70.
which may be found in the thread linked to in the opening post.
