Divinity 2 Directors Cut Game will not load to continue after playing Movie File Level 35


I have run into a problem where the game shows the icon in the lower right hand section of the screen. I finished playing a very large movie completes after Damian and Ygerna say everything is ready to procede.

Technical support gave me a list of things to do and they did not help, except to help me with Task Manager to stay on top so I can stop the game without rebooting. That was a good tip.

I am at lever 35 and I feel like I may be near the end of the game. I want to continue; but, it simply will not continue past this point.

I have had minor problems where the game failed to continue and I had to restart. I have had to replay from the last save and it would work its way through to the next part of the game. This is no longer the case at this point of the game.

I would appreciate some advice. Maybe someone has encountered this issue?

I am using Win 10, 64 bit
I have an Nvidia graphics card.

I have played several other high end games and the graphics card has never been a problem.
