The only problem I have encountered in DD is that when I go to open up the menu or hit the quicksave button the game takes around 2 minutes to do anything. Is there anyway to shorten the load times?

In task manager set the games exe to high priority see if that makes any difference.

If you are using Vista / Win 7 you might try turning off the UAC. Control Panel \ User Accounts \ Turn User Account Control on or off. In Vista, uncheck the box, in Win 7, move the slider to never notify. See attached images.

If this fixes the problem I will have some suggestions, either way, turn UAC back on . . . =)

Also, disconnect from the internet, set your Anti-virus and Firewall to off or disabled. If this fixes the problem you will need to make the div.exe a trusted program in the firewall (usually the culprit ) or AV.
