Not sure what your problem was but . . . I suggest you don't use quick save ( CTRL - S ) as it caused me to have some corrupt saves. Just press the S key and save, the game pauses and I have not had a corrupt save since I started doing this . . . =)
was just a problem with the Jake kidnapping quest; couldn't save during it and it bugged out

other than that quicksaves work np

Glad you got it sorted out. I would suggest you don't use the quick save and use the S key for saves. The quick save function seems to be one of the few bugs remaining in DD. Myself and others . . . at different stages of the game . . . got corrupted saves when using it. Needless to say, after 30 or 40 hrs of game play, it was frustrating not being able to load your game.

Enjoy the game . . . =)

I am having the same problem, but is with any save: using L in game or using the main menu - save is darked out. The problem contines in other areas of the game

DocDave: I am having the same problem, but is with any save:
Once you enter the grave and get the first cutscene with Jake, saving is disabled until you get to the end of that small area for another short cutscene, at which point saving is enabled again.

If you are not in the graveyard, are you trying to use disk version saves in the download version of the game? If so, see this topic.
