I've downloaded and installed EE, but when I hit multiplayer the game shows the message "No online community detected" (or sth like that). Will multiplayer be enabled on the GOG version or will it be only available in Steam again?

Are you using it with GOG galaxy because as far as I know that's the only way to play multiplayer games with GOG.

You where meant to sort this last year, LAN and Direct are useless for this game, Makes me embarrassed that I persuaded a friend to get the GOG version instead of going for steam.

You forgot Local Split-Screen Co-Op.

Yeah same here. Had a friend drop money on this to play multiplayer and still no support. I really like Gog but this is a little ridiculous. This wasnt what Gog said a few months back. They said wait for the Enhanced Edition for Lobby and multiplayer support. Wtf?

Yes, I'm starting the game using the GOG Galaxy client. I thought the GOG version of EE had community support, so that's why I asked in the first place.

The online relies on Galaxy? God damn that's not available on Linux yet. I know the Linux version got delayed but now knowing it won't even be playable because it relies on GOG's pathetic client with only windows support makes me even more dissapointed.

It has LAN. Which means you'll need a third party software to connect to each other. I tested direct connect and it does not seem to work at all.

Direct Connect works very well here, never had problems with it.

I play with a friend that has a steam version and no problems so far with gog-steam compatibility.
