Hey, since the Patch 2.0.119.430 it is impossible for me to play the game with a friend. Before this patch everything worked fine.

He is using the steam version under Linux and I am using the gog version under Windows. Both are using the newest version. The problem is that when I am hosting the game and he ist connecting directly, he stops moving after teleporting or entering a new area. When he is hosting the game his game crashes in the same situation, while I can play for a few seconds.

Is it just on your end that the character doesn't move, or on your friend's end, as well?

If you save the game and reload, or your friend disconnects and reconnects, does that fix the problem? (at least until the next time you teleport between maps)

Did you try using the lobby to connect, rather than Direct Connection?

A couple people have reported similar problems playing co-op between GOG and Steam since the update with Galaxy support.
When I am hosting it is on my end that he isnt moving. Also he cant trigger events when I am not nearby. When he is hosting, his game is crashing, so that I dont know if it would also happen on his end.

Saving and reloading helps until the next teleport. The same goes for the disconnecting and reonnecting.

We cant use lobby, because I cant see him on the lobby and he cant see me on the lobby. We think that we are in different lobbies, because he is using steam and I am using the gog version.

Btw. on my end, I have only a DSLite connection, so IP v4 isnt fully supported.

The game still worked until the patch.

Edit: When he is interacting with the environment I can see it. It looks like a ghost which is moving barrels.

As a workaround you can enable rollbacks in Galaxy and go back to previous version (the one before galaxy support was added few days ago) until other solution is found / problem is corrected.
I know about this option, but I am playing with a guy that plays this game on Steam and I dont know a way to do a rollback there.

He doesn't have to I think - galaxy support update didn't change in-game version so the previous one should still be valid for cross-play
Is it correct that there are 2 Patches with the version number 2.0.119.430 out there? One which was specifically for GoG Galaxy?

I already did try to restore the old version but something went wrong. The error message said that some files are broken, so that multiplayer play wont work.

After that I deinstalled and deleted everything. Finally I reinstalled it with the actual version. I think, I cant go back anymore.

Also we have played the last time approximately 3 weeks ago and I think that there was another version number actual. So it could be that even the last patch was already broken. If that would be true, a roll back wont work, because we cant play with differently patched versions of this game, can we?

Yes. The game version was not changed when Galaxy support was added, so that it would not effect multiplayer compatibility.

To roll back to a previous game version, in the Galaxy client, in the left column select Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition, click More and then Configure. Select manual updates, rather than automatic, then select the 2.0.119.430 version, rather than 2.0.119.430(GALAXY).

FYI, we received a fixed version, it will be rolled out tomorrow.
Now it seems to work again, thanks.
Still broken with version 2.0.119.430 to play with a friend. We had to roll back to previous patch. When my friend start a twich streaming, the game crashes (with version 2.0.119.430), with the previous patch twitch streaming works. Waiting for the next patch.
I just wanted to chime in and say that my brother and i are still having this issue with version 2.0.119.430 (CN). He can join my session for about 5 mins then drops out. Tried every solution out there, now rolling back to a previous version to see if that works.

is this ever going to be fixed or are we just screwed?
