In addition to the previous threads problems with DOS EE, I just "continued" a DOS 2 game I've been playing all day...onlhy to find myself in a release version game I profiled as "test"....after I deleted a later profile, recreated a new profild, and started a new game...the one I expected to "continue" and/or "load"... WTF???!!!
OK, all's not well, but OK. Seems the "New" Larian intro screen (that pushes their games) doesn't know enough to display the current game version. Instead of displaying "DOS 2 extended version", it displayed "DOS classic version". So, when I hit "Play" , it went to the old game and gamesave.
It's almost amusing how computers were supposed to make life easier. :(
