GastonArg: Fix my problem too, setting 16 bit 48000hz dvd quality
win 7 64bit
I run everything at 24-bits 96000Hz...and I'm thinking, why doesn't everyone? Is it a cpu issue for folks--as in not enough power? I mean, I wonder why folks would not want the highest sound output quality they could get. My RealTek 892 will produce up to 24-bit 192000Hz output, actually. I can't recall if I ever had a problem with 192000Hz...think I'll go ahead and set it to maximum and see if I run into any problems...
Sayne: Sometimes in game, it appears a particular sound file may be corrupted or something, being replaced with two chirps of static. I'm on Win 7x64 and this is the first gog title to give me any technical difficulty.
Does anyone else have this issue, or should I just reinstall the game?
Thanks
Have you installed the 1.62a version from Gog?
(It has some slight changes from earlier versions as to the how the soundtrack plays, etc.)
