You sir, are a genius.

So I guess that means that the patch is officially incompatible with old save games.

I got impatient and went ahead and started over, lo and behold now I get to make a decision.

Larian is working on an update to fix this.

Ok, the problem exists for me if you load a save form the previous patch and try to play on this patch. But if you create a new game single player campaign in this patch it all works fine. At least for me.

Yes, but I am like 10-15 hours in and on chapter 3, so I would rather just reinstall the game with the original version... Meh.

Cheers! Any ETA?

Any word on this weird "Graphics must be set to medium or crash" thing?
Had a blast playing my first day, then the patch comes and sets a stopper for that. Reminds me why I usually don't play games at launch...

Larian said (about 4 hours ago) it should be today, so presumably GOG will have an update Monday.

Not specifically, AFAIK.
Mondays come and gone, I'd like to be able to play again without game breaking bugs.

Lynch: Mondays come and gone
There was an issue with Friday's update (which was rolled back on Steam), that was fixed today and sent though QA. If there are no serious issues found, it should be released tomorrow, and the update sent to GOG.
Any news on a new update? It's friday, and it would be nice if we didn't have to wait until monday if the patch is already sitting there, waiting. :D

How about letting anyone who purchased on GOG download patches from Larian Vaults?
Torrents is fastest way to get patches for the games purchased through GOG at the moment, the gamers who purchase their games gets punished.

Oh so that's how you update the game from GOG with the Larian Vault patch.
Although I'm somewhat concerned about the "GOG-only" glitch of casual difficulty freeze-up in that case.

ShadowWulfe: The "Your system does not meet the requirements for " whatever quality textures is absurd. I'm assuming this will be fixed at... some point?
I was getting that message as well, When I lowered the resolution it goes away. I tried to load the world map while I getting that message and the game froze. When I lowered the resolution I could load that map.

Right, I know that lowering the settings makes it crash free, but I was wondering if the patch would fix that so I could play the game at an appropriate setting.
