I have a few questions that have been lingering, and I don't seem to be any closer to solving them after some time so thought I'd ask.

1) Summon Quest. Some woman mage in Verdistas said she would train me in summoning (I think) if I gathered 3 thrings for her. It's been so long ago I got that quest that I can't recall what the three things were, but one of them was in the hands of some dude with a name beginning with "A" who was responsible for burning this other dude's cart down. So, apparently having been caught for that deed, I can't find him now anywhere to complete my quest. Will he show up later or have I missed him or another bug where if you don't get to him before he's picked up for burning the cart you never get to him???

2) What's up with honey? I have tried all I can think of but all I ever do is end up with a ball of honey laying on the ground with no way to pick it up or jar it or whatever. How do I do that?

3) If you press on an open box (like the equipment box to drag something off of the character while the game is paused, it locks up. Everytime. Every. Single. Time. And because of my memory, I keep forgetting it does that, and end up doing it almost daily when I play. What's up with that?? Anything to be done to stop that from occuring??

And now that I've sat down and started typing I can't remember the other questions. Dammit this memory loss things sucks. :>(

You should be able to find the exquisite wine in the hotel room where Anthrabert was staying. If not, Corrina will accept a different type of wine.
The quest log (or dialog history) can remind you what other items you need. Get the talking tree branch from the Dark Forest, rather than what Mpenzak has for sale.

You need an empty honey jar to combine with a drop of honey (full honey jars can be sold or used to restore a bit of mana).

Closing an open box should not cause any problems, but I don't know if I ever tried when the game was paused (I'll check that after I post). Have you tried with barrels, different types of chests, etc? IIRC there is no graphics change to some sacks of grain that are containers, though I don't know if that would make them more or less of a problem.

EDIT: Dragging out of the inventory will automatically unpause the game, if required. From the equipment pane, though, the item isn't shown being dragged, and the game may appear locked up. However, if you hit the space bar to unpause, the equipment should end up wherever the mouse pointer is then (not where you 'dropped' it), which can result in items being lost or destroyed if the cursor is on the other side of a wall, etc.
This also happens in the Steam version.

Thanks again Raze. But I have tried moving the empty honey jar over the ball of honey on the ground and nothing happens. I've tried "making" the honey while having empty honey jars in my inventory, and nothing.

EDIT: Oops, my honey jar isn't empty, so maybe that's the problem, I'll try that and then come back. maybe i've got it after all.
