Hi, sorry if this question has been answered before but I could not find it. I am playing D:OS and I didn't follow the patchs the game had since a while. I think I added some patches but I can't remember which one.

My version of the game is 1.0.67.0 and I don't know which patch I should apply next since this version has not reference in the and I don't want to break my game or saves by going crazy and installing everything.

Can you help me on this ? :)
lol your words ring true, my friend. GOG naming their files according to the installer version makes frequent patches a real mess.

Hmm your version is rather old I'm afraid. There is a patch for 1.0.74->1.0.130 and another for 1.0.107->10.130. Then you could use the latest one for 1.0.130->1.0.169 that includes the 2 new companions.

It seems that you have to take the plunge and download the full installer that comes with 1.0.107 and then 1.0.107->10.130 (70MB) + 1.0.130->1.0.169 (300MB).

One more thing. I think the last patch has features that require a new game, namely the companions (if I'm wrong please someone correct me). So you might be interested in finishing your run and then download the whole thing. There are more patches incoming in the following weeks anyway, so if you enjoying the game as is you could consider not updating yet.
Damn that's playing with fire but I'll try this. >:3
As for the new companions I don't remember reading you had to make a new game so I may be lucky on this part of the patching process. I'll update again once I patched everything. :)

You only have to start a new game if you want to add the new companions to your party. If you load a previous save, youwon't see the new companions in Cyseal, but everything else is there.

@GOG and naming versions:

http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/add_version_number_to_gog_releases_eg_earth_2140_release_12

support this wish for better naming the versions or at least add the gameversions additional.
i'm also lost in the patches with this game, i pm'ed judas some days ago , didn't get any answer. it just a plain mess.... >_<

actually i have this installed :

installer 2.7.0.14 -> i don't know which version it is
patched with the followings patches :
patch 2.9.0.16 (160 mb) -> game version ? still needed ? i have some doubt with the current patches listed...
and probably a hotfix.

the only thing i'm sure is the game builder number i'm currently using 1.0.132 , so what patches i need to install next ?

and now the last patch number have higher number than the main installer o_O ; sorry but your naming version is so bad for the customer

i don't want to redownload the full installer again ....

#1 Patch 1.0.130+ to 1.0.169
#2 Patch 1.0.169+ to 1.0.177

both are described as such in your Account \ Divinity OS

well and if for one reason or another i have to reinstall it

from the 2.7.0.14 installer , does the 2.9.0.16 patch is a mandatory or i could skip it and apply directly the 2.10.0.20 & 2.12.0.22 ones (i don't need to remember you the issues with some patches in the past)

because ,when you remplaced the main installer , you discarded one patch it seems (2.9.0.16)

and for the sake of the customers keep the gog builder + the game build in the shelves , it's so much easier...otherwise it become a mess. Especially when you remplace / remove some patches , customers have no more informations about the real build number of the game installer / patches correspond. (i hope you got the picture).

furthermore : for those who have enough bandwith, the latest patch could be applied with the new installer , because it's not clear . in the shelves its says 1.0.169 -> 1.0.177 and i checked steam for the changelog... it fixes some translations other than polish.

anyway thanks for the answer :)

It says 1.0.169+ to 1.0.177 - which means it can be applied to any version 1.0.169 or higher.

There are three patches available to download:

#1 universal update, for versions 1.0.74 or later that updates the game to 1.0.130
#2 patch for 1.0.130 or later that updates the game to 1.0.169 and adds free DLC
#3 latest patch for 1.0.169 or later that updates the game to 1.0.177 and adds Polish localization

installer 2.7.0.14 corresponds to dev version .107 -> which means that you need all three. Still, it's DL size under 2 GB, as compared to 9GB of a new build.

here lies the problem so :

the 2.9.0.16 has a file size of 160 mb (around) (i assure you it's not corrupted , i checked the digital timestamp tab)

as i said you discarded the one i mention; i don't really know what you did, but i assure you this patch was installed properly. if i remember correctly this one was for 1.0.107 -> 1.0.130 (i checked on steam to be sure this one existed)

the one you mention is for 1.074 -> 1.0.130 (and obviously its size is bigger) , they probably have the same gog build number because it's probably a cumulative one.
.
i was almost sure there was an issue .why removing this patch , since some could still use it ... that's not great to do this :'(. If you still have the patch i mention , please put it again in the shelves ... even if a few customers use it , a 160 mb file size if better than a 1.5GB+ one to download (like in my case).

DyNaer: [...]
We do not keep all the patches on the shelf, only the recent ones. That's nothing new, it is the same with other GOG games. If it's really a crucial issue, you can write to our Support and they will provide you with an FTP link to that particular file.

alright i could do that, but that's an alternate option which should be taken into consideration in the future.

especially for games with a huge download size & having a lots of patches ; with a small note with patches conrespond to which game build..

anyway, thanks for the explanation.

Ok i will put it with others words (still unclear to me & maybe for some others)

i checked on Steam for the changelog, so obviously this patch could be applied on the new installer

the problem remains the same :

in shelves : new installer = 1.0.177 (gog build 2.11.0.21)
latest patch : 1.0.169 -> 1.0.177 (gog build 2.12.0.22)

so, to me , with this wording (unless i don't understand pretty well...)

this patch should be applied upon the game version 1.0.169 (there's no indication it could be applied on the 1.0.177 too)

since the gog build number for the patch is higher , that's why it's unclear.

if you want my opininon ; simply uses this for the patch "1.0.169+"

So this latest installer 1.0.177 does that include the DLC already ? and i can just install that and everything including the DLC will work ?

thanks

Installer includes DLC, yes. But you may also want to install yesterday update (.169+ with Polish localization) as it contains several fixes to all language strings and can be installed over the latest build. Unfortunately Larian decided against increasing version number, so it's still labeled as .177 and may cause some confusion.
