Is there any idea when we can expect the Linux version of Divinity: Original Sin on GOG ?

My answer would be who knows ? With the holidays upon us.

I am waiting for the Mac EE version which went up on steam yesterday.

I did hear that it took GoG a couple of days to write their installer program for
the other versions, so as I say who knows ? I do not like steam but I have to say
they are on the ball with their updating etc.

It's because Steam don't do the updating themselves, the developers can do it directly there. GOG, instead, creates their own installers based on the files the developer provides. At some point, developers should be able to do everything themselves on GOG too, at least if you use Galaxy. I don't know about the website downloads.

Thank you for the information I did not realize that :)
I just got the confirmation that we will not recieve it today. So probably after the holidays.

It came out today. Am currently downloading.
Finally it's here! Tbh I've had pretty much given up on it.
I just downloaded it and I always get an error when I try to start the game (see the attached picture).
I'm using OpenSUSE 42.1, if this might be the cause.

However, other games work just fine (Battleworlds Kronos for example).

Is this a known error?

What are your system specs?
Specifically, your graphics card requires OpenGL 4.x support in Linux (you can check that using glxinfo).

Thank you for your quick reply, I think you found the reason why it didn't work. My graphics card only supports OpenGL 3.0.

Please note that it could be from the hw not supporting OpenGL 4.x, or from the driver not supporting it. If you give us your card brand and model, we can have a look if it's hw limitation or driver limitation, and if there is an available driver with OpenGL 4.x support for that card.
