In "Divinity 2: Developer's cut - Ego Draconis" game in Polish translations there are several items with names displayed as "DO NOT TRANSLATE".

For example the gold ore or the malachite gem (I guess their real names because of the properly translated description below these names). There are other ores and gems, which I am not able to identify that easily.

The bug is annoying, because when I want to apply a spell onto an item, it shows me that I have 2x DO NOT TRANSLATE, but I still miss one other DO NOT TRANSLATE. Very funny, yeah. :p

Question: How can I fix it myself? Are the translations stored in one of the game files which I could edit by hand? Could I create some kind of "override" files, which could fix the issue? Or... have the devs already fixed it and I the update is already in the GOG verification queue? (Well.. it was worth the try)

I am also very sorry, but I have strong aversion to downloading any binary software from the Internet. Downloading a game from a trusted provider (GOG) is as far as I can go. Using any GNU tools would be perfectly acceptable, though.

Could anyone offer some help with the problem?

I don't know if it is possible to override the localisation (I can check), and I don't see any centralised loca file that could be manually edited.

If you check the Dragon Knight Saga FAQ/Guide, it will at least give you a list of all the ingredients needed for each enchantment.

Thank you. I'm grateful, even if just for trying.

And thank you for the link! Searching carefully (to avoid too many spoilers) I was able to find out that the mysterious missing ingredient for the Healing Aura enchantment was a Malachite Gem, which is not possible to be found by my tower scout/worker. I was using his list with a hope that it's a complete list of all the gems (and ores) available in the world.

Just to clarify: Other that these few unlucky "DO NOT"-s, the quality of the translation is really good. Precise, funny, gramaticaly correct...
Being forced to use English in the work, for years, I really appreciate any possibility to use my native language.

It is everything except malachite gems, since they are moderately limited (reloading more than I should have at malachite veins and turning in certain FoV quests, I ended the game with 65 malachite gems, having used 2 for level 10 healing auras and 2 for a quest; I stuck to level 9 for other enchantments).

I switched the game to Polish and used the developer mode cheats to add all alchemy / enchantment / creature ingredients, and the only ones I found with the 'Do Not Translate' name were the same gold ore and malachite ore/gems you mentioned.

The person currently in charge of localisations said he would take a look at the game yesterday, but he wasn't involved in the localisations for that game, and I'm not sure if he made much headway.

If you don't need a user friendly solution to try fixing it yourself, a modder released source code for a program to extract the dv2 files (Modding DKS/ED). FYI the modder in question volunteered to help delete spam in the Larian Forum after the D:OS EE release, and now has administrative access in the forum.
