auroraparadox: Since GOG currently has an RPG sale going I'm considering purchasing Beyond Divinity and Divinity 2. Some of the reviews for BD mentioned that the game was very buggy. I know that Divinity 2 had its share of bugs as well when it was first released.
Did GOG fix up these games before releasing them? Are there any glitches or problems I should be aware of?
GOG doesn't fix bugs in titles like this. Developers (in this case - Larian Studios) do.
Divinity 2: Ego Draconis was basically released unfinished and it had problems with not only performance, but some dialogues going nowhere, not to mention tons of bugs. A lot of these problems were fixed in patches. Then there the game was re-released rebalanced and expended as
Divinity 2: The Dragon Knight Saga and finally, now it has some more extras and a developer mode and it's one of the most flawless (/bug-less) Action RPGs, I've ever played. In 30hrs that took me to finish the game (Developer's Cut) and the expansion (and I skipped literally tons of sidequests!) the game hasn't crashed even ones and I have not encounter many bugs either.
I can not say anything about Beyond Divinity, since I've not played it (I have a copy on Steam).
