Almost everything about Divinity OS screams old school, which is awesome...except the graphics. I can get past most of the cartoon/WoW-style colors and stylization, but I'm really disappointed in the lack of visual character customization options.

Why do I have to play a hulking muscular wizard or rogue? Why does the female have to be a hot super model? Anyone know if new character models can be modded in or if anyone is doing any modding in this dept?

That is how the concept artist drew the original characters, and the 3D artists stuck to the concept art. The main characters were going to originally have set personalities and backgrounds, but the story design evolved and when that was changed enough (during the kickstarter) it made sense to allow character customization. The henchmen were not added until release, though, who do have different body types.

If there is no official update to allow changing body types, I would think there should be a mod for that, but I have not really been following the Larian mod forum.
It would be cool if there are different faces for the main characters. If you play as a male and female hero it's fine, but if you are playing as two men or women it's weird that you have the same face with just different hair etc. It'd be cool if there was a way to unlock the faces of NPCs for use in the CC. I hope Larian considers this as it'd make a lot of players happy :)

I didn't even think about that. Attack of the clones, yikes. If there's going to be a modding community out there, the hero visuals should be the first thing to get some love.

Agreed! I'd love to have more customization options :)

Edit: Oh! And other portraits! Wish there was an easy way to just drag custom portraits into a folder or something. The avatars the game has for the heroes are quite limited if you want them to actually look like the character you made.

Looks like someone has already found a way to use companion heads for your main characters:

But apparently multi-player is disabled if you mess with your files? I wonder if it still works if both copies make the same change...

Looks a bit 'complicated' to do, and I'd definitely be scared of messing up the game or save files by doing that method. I'd really prefer either a mod that does the job for you and you can enable/disable, or a patch by Larian themselves. What this video proves however is that it shouldn't be a lot of work for Larian to do :)

Lol, I'm in total agreement here 8). It would be nice if you could make a "scrawny" wizard. I guess the ugly people of the world, myself included, are ignored yet again 8).

yeah same . I want to see more head and body shapes . I don't feel ok with current ones .
The devs seems to be rolling out lots of patches lately. This is a good sign!

Maybe once they get all the kinks out, they'll focus on aesthetics!
Couldn't agree more. I dislike the aesthetic design of the player characters. It wouldn't be so bad if the character designs weren't such extreme caricatures. Whether by mod or official patch, the ability to select some more "human normal" body types would be greatly appreciated.

hope they will add them with patches , I don't want to bother with mods .

Same here. I'm more of a vanilla guy myself, unless there's some great mods that everyone uses.
Like this style.

Just only my opinion.
Good 3D "look cool" few years.
Good 2D and not-realistic-style 3D - all time.

Many good games look bad because of the graphics, although they only came out graphics looked awesome. (e.g. early 00 or TES 4 models :) )

P.S. Sorry for bad English
