After Omerta I no longer expect patches to be quick. But for a DRM free game I am prepared to give GoG some slack.

On another note as sad as it is I no longer even install games I buy for 6 months till they are patched. I prefer to let the other beta testers get it going first. To expect a game to work on release now is a thing of the past. I hate that idea but it seems no developers release fully working games these days.

Which reminds me I should try Omerta now that most bugs seem to be fixed.

I hear you, there's very few companies who can release games without gamebreaking bugs on the day of release.
I'm going to wait for games to reach the 75% discount before I buy them in the future, I got alot of other things to do than beta test products from some poor developer who cant even get their code to work on 1.5 years old hardware.
I think Larian employees have low salary and that alone explains how most of their games have had game breaking bugs on day 1 of release. Time will tell if gamers forget about these issues until their next release.
Ok....what breaking bug?

Have done solo campaign walktrough on the day one version of the game...the two bug hi have ancounter whas the dual core issue, and the "you cant do that" (or something like that) sound glitch...nothing that stop from finishing the game....

I think everyone has different expectations regarding game quality, so we are all different.

To me as long as you are a paying customer you have the right to complain. With that in mind I like the icons that appear under your icon on the Paradox forums, shows if you have the game registered with them. Shows straight away if you own the game. But i must admit with my GoG collection this would not work here. Sorts out the people who complain and do not even own the game.

As gamers we know what we are getting into when we purchase games and the risks we take pre purchasing.
But I remember when my daughter was at school there were parents that literally knew nothing about games they purchased for their children. No idea that there were forums that you could ask for help from and were not interested in them either. they just expected to buy something and it would work. The smallest problem was a mountain to them, editing an ini file was never an option. these people I feel sorry for.

Now my next pre order will be "Age of Wonders 3". Will I expect it to be perfect on release no, but I will pre order anyway to support GoG.

Now I really must get Omerta and Dragon commander completed before The Witcher 3, so many games so little time, so why am I here ranting on instead of playing ?
