I was actually gifted this from Xyem's weekly giveaway, so if you don't enter the weekly drawing, you're seriously missing out on possibly getting some free games.

I've won free games before, and when I do, I try to get stuff I haven't pulled the trigger on, Divine Divinity was one that I was interested in, but had never bought.

What a mistake.

This is such a great RPG. It's got its crap of course like most games, but what an awesome RPG experience. I hate when there's NPC's with little bubbles on their heads saying, look here's a quest. This doesn't have that. It's got scripted quests that start when you enter an area, but aside from that, you've got to run around and talk to people to find quests. The world is massive, the dungeons are sprawling, the skill system is awesome: you're not restricted to mage or warrior, but can add skills from each school to your set if you want. At this point, enemies are starting to get repetitive, but it hasn't really bothered me. I can put little notes on the map to remind me of where stuff I can't access right away are. How on earth so few RPG's offer this to a player is beyond me, but it exists here and it's an awesome way of keeping track of stuff.

Great RPG. Difficult, but not punishing. Lots of voice dialogue with some being pretty good, others annoying, but at least all the voices sound like they belong in the game--that they're not out of place. Cool gear and specs too.

Graphics look a lot like what I found in Sacred gold, but the combat is less difficult as in Sacred and the RPG'ing aspects are much better.

Awesome game, am already more than halfway done with it.
yea is a very good game, better than other award-winning games.
i also like a lot the subtle irony, hope to see the same "atmosphere" in the newer 3d chapter of the saga.
I'll add my voice to the praise for DD.

It was one of those Games I had always wondered whether or not I would like, so it was always getting pushed off my "To Be Played" list by other stuff and I'm really happy I finally got to it!

I have to say that I find the graphics to be pretty amazing...it still looks great even when compared to Games released after it.
I love this game. Very good atmosphere and good music. I prefer it over many over classic RPGs.

I know what you mean, however, DD is definitely a classic RPG in my books. I can't think of many games I've enjoyed as much as DD.

"other classic RPGs." Sorry my error. : )
I remember reading a review about it saying it had the action of Diablo, the complexity of Baldur's Gate and the atmosphere of Planescape Torment.
