Hi,

I can't use the Splitscreen option at the moment and i also can't toggle the controller option. Is this because my controller isn't recognised? It is a 360 Controller from Xeox, works with most games, at least with an 360 emulator.

Or is there an option i overlooked? Local Splitscreen is the most important feature ot this release for me.

What I read from steam forums says you need two controllers. Keyboard&Mouse+Controller won't work.

Just for the record, I tried this with two standard wireless Xbox 360 Controllers. After starting the game I didn't touch the keyboard anymore, I got into the game by pressing A on my first controller - instant recognize. After setting up a profile and starting a new game, I pressed the START button on my second controller - again, instant recognize. Funny enough, the keyboard and mouse were disabled after that (I couldn't even quit the game without a controller or killing the task).

tl;dr Did you press Enter before using the controller? Maybe it got disabled because of that. Worth a shot.
I bought a new official Xbox 360 controller and this one will be recognised, but not my xeox unofficial 360, not even with xinput emulation which is a shame but was to be expected.

So i have to buy two official ones to enjoy it in splitscreen, quite sad.

Thank you for your input guys.

Have you tried something like x360ce_x64?
Yes i tried, but it doesn't work. Maybe because the game is very new and there are no EE profiles for x360ce. The default one didn't work.
Hey, did you manage to get it work? I Just got the game recently mainly because of the local co-op but it appears that I can't option for controllers. The option is grayed out and no matter what I do, it won't let me check it.
I am using 2 different controllers with a x360ce Emulator. I used this for so many games that I lost count and I am quite familiar with the software. When I start the game, I even hear that Microsoft "ping" sound which means that the game recognizes the controllers(that's exactly how it behaves in some other games, like Metal Gear: Rising) but no matter what combination of settings I try, the game won't let me tick that controller option.
I read you mentioned pressing "Enter" on the main menu. I'm not even prompted to do that oO
Can somebody please help me see this through, I would really appreciate any help :)

Unfortunately not. The splitscreen only works with two official xbox controllers. I have two now and it works. But x360ce does not work for DD:EE.

Wolfskraehe: But x360ce does not work for DD:EE.
It should. I got it working for a Steelseries 3GC controller, as well as a virtual gamepad, seeing if I could get split screen co-op working with a keyboard/mouse and controller (used Headsoft's VJoy Virtual Joystick Driver to get the keyboard to act as a gamepad, and then x360ce (default settings) to get the game to recognize the virtual gamepad).

I also purchased 2 360 controllers and it's working as it should. At the official game forums a guy posted that he made it work partially with emulated gamepads but not all of the features were working correctly so I guess it's possible but not with any method that I have ever heard of.

Very interesting. Thank you for testing. But for my Xeox gamepad it didnt't worked. I guess there are some models that won't be recognized.
What this game really needs is the ability to dual screen, and allow keyboard/controller combo.

The way my computer is set up, there's really no way to have 2 people hover over the computer with the 26" screen to play, but my computer is also hooked up to a 46" TV.

One player using the keyboard on the PC display and another on the couch using the TV and a controller would work best!

This is a feature that is missing from every local coop game i know. Or are there games which support local coop on two monitors?

Maybe this is hard to code or too taxing on the hardware. But i would appreciate such a feature.

If you just clone on 2 monitors then it should be 0 effort for hardware.
