Consistently Reproduceable. Happens everytime I try to cook a recipe

I can experiment recipes and even craft a recipe I already have in the experiment tab. But if I try to craft something at the "recipes" tab, I crash to desktop after cooking

Also, the mobile kitchen no longer works after the 1st freezing. Here's what happened: I found a fireplace and discovered how to create the mobile kitchen. Then I discovered how to create dinner (with fish) and some other stuff. So I got excited and decided to try some recipes. Game froze, I had to alt-tab and close it. Now, everything I try to combine with the mobile kitchen returns the message "invalid combination", even the fish that I know for sure that should work.

I'm using mods, but none that changes crafting/cooking (double checked) and a .CT that gave packmule to both my chars (I hate inv struggling and encumbrance). And I made sure the mods were installed in the new EE folder structure. Nevertheless, the kitchen worked fine before the freeze

I'm at the 1st town (Cysil I guess, sorry, I'm new to the series), just in case it matters. Haven't found any oven yet, so I don't know if those will work, nor if armors/weapon crafting was affected (I haven't even found any companion and neither me nor the 2nd char have crafting skills)

I tried, at no avail:

- this https://steamcommunity.com/app/373420/discussions/0/352788917744992107/ (post #5) (I ignored the Steam related stuff)
- restart the computer
- turn it completely off and on again
- changed the game resolution (read it on another post)
- a previous save (lots of previous saves, actually)
- starting the game directly at the "shipping" folder, as administrator

Mods I'm using
- DoS EE-MegaPack GraphicMod (4.5a) by A100N
- Better Tavern Music by dirbob
- Better Rarity Borders by dirbob ( manually combined it with DoS EE-MegaPack GraphicMod)
- Custom Portraits For Enhanced Edition by The Internet
- New Female Face and Portraits by JOG (I actually combined both portrait mods using Gimp. Made sure to use 64x64 pics and not to increase the number of portraits)
- DOS EE Movement Speed increase by Kidling
- QuietDayOnTheMarket by Abraxas1990
- StandStillWhenIAttack by Abraxas1990 (Standard version)
- SamaritanMod - Healing AI by Abraxas1990
- Font Trebuchet MS and More by OyoN7
- Companion Female Hair styles for Players by Mr Esturk
- W8less-Weightless_Books-53--1- W8less-Weightless_Potions-53-0-1
And compatibility patches when they were needed

My specs:
Win 7 Pro 64 bits (genuine)
I5-3570K
RAM 16 GB
NVIDIA GTX 980TI
HDD has plenty of space

If someone has a hint on what happened I'd be much appreciated. Thanks

Try creating a mobile kitchen at a fire, such as the gate behind the King Crab inn. There is an 'oven' you can use behind the abandoned blacksmith's house, to the west of the gate behind the King Crab (there is also an anvil there).

Try creating a new profile and starting a new game on explorer difficulty without any mods enabled. Is the problem reproducible then?
The Better Logistics mod, for example, had a crash on consume (fixed in the latest version), which could happen when crafting (though in that case consistently, not just through the recipes tab).

There are two companions in buildings near the marketplace, one outside the legion headquarters and the last in an area that can be found exploring in-town or a little outside the gate behind the King Crab.
I wouldn't expect them to make a difference with the crashing, though one near the marketplace comes with the Scientist talent, for a level of Crafting and Blacksmithing.

You nailed it, culprit was the W8less mod. I compared both "potions.txt " and "objects.txt" mod files with those at the templates folder, they're different. Removing them solved the issue, even with my old save. Cooked a bunch of recipes, exited the room, returned to the room, cooked again, exited the game, returned to the game, loaded a different save, no issues at all

Is it safe to set "Weight" "0" to everything with a weight check on "potions.txt " and "objects.txt" files at the templates folder?

Or, better yet, is there a way to completely ignore encumbrance? Not saying those features shouldn't be in the game (because I truly think that a game must be developed in the way the devs want to) but I'm a helpless hoarder who doesn't really enjoy dealing with inventory management and encumbrance. Shame on me

Thanks a lot for your help!

PS: didn't mark as solved yet because I don't know if solved posts can be replied to

They can. Didn't know one could mark as solved, though, without first checking it as a question. Maybe that's why I'm the only one checking the "question" box.

Not the way the W8less mod files do, apparently. Trying them I also get a crash crafting from the recipes section (even a dagger + tormented soul). I'll check on that Monday, and see if anyone knows.

Weight is used with some pressure plates, traps and switches, etc. I didn't get a direct answer about whether it would be possible to ignore encumbrance (someone might need to go through the code to determine if that would be possible; since it was always an intended mechanic, there could be various places where that was assumed to be the case, etc).

The main source of weight you'd usually be dealing with would be equipment (and maybe barrels of liquid), even though crafting material, etc, could add up eventually.

I messed with both "potions.txt " and "objects.txt" files and set "Weight" "0" to a few things and so far so good. If my game starts to behave strangely at least I know where to look

Thanks for your time, I'm loving the game
