If you focus mainly on Intelligence, are you stuck with robes as armour? It's just that I don't like their aesthetics.

It depends on what you want from your armour. If you want stat. boosts to your intelligence, then robes are the way to go. If not, and you're not after maximum armour value, you can get some pretty decent leather armour that doesn't require strength or dexterity to wear. You can also find some accessories that boost stats., so you may even be able to up your armour wearing capability that way.

I think you can change it after the initial decision by adding points to different skills.
